TA!!! (day 20 vs. day 17)

We have our Travel Approval!!  

It was a rough Friday as people on our timeline received their TAs.  And we didn't.  It just didn't make sense.  But then a lot about this process doesn't make sense :)

The weekend wasn't too bad.  Thought someone else was in our shoes, although as the weekend wore on I started to second guess that.

Turns out I was right.  One of my friends did in fact have her TA but kept the news off FB.  She knew that I would feel so alone and be devastated if I knew that I was the only person (with our timeline) who hadn't received TA.

Isn't that sweet?  So nice.  Goodness!  Just about made me cry!

Anyway....

I planned on obsessively checking my e-mail later in the morning today.  I was NOT expecting a phone call.  I was not expecting a phone call shortly after 10 am.  From an unknown number from another state.  A call with "our" C* person on the other end.

In fact, when I heard it was her, I figured she was calling to answer questions....or something....I was not expecting the glorious news she had. Our TA had been received!  Woohoo!

When we hung up, I spent hours sharing our great news with family and friend!  And also made a call to our agency about travel plans.  Ended that call with "one more question" -

"Just out of curiosity, did the package actually come today.....?"  Turns out it came on Friday....after they left (early) for the day.  It sat on her chair all weekend.  Ugggg!  Confirmed my suspicions.  Ugggg!  Friday was day 17. Today is day 20.

BUT - we have it, and right now that's all that matters!  We are going to C*! This month!

We are now waiting for a CA (Consulate Appointment) and expect to have it tomorrow morning.  Once that is received, we'll begin working on travel plans!  And those?  We hope to have our international flights booked by 4 tomorrow afternoon.  Going to be a busy day :)
